Another Day

A solitary figure
Sits quiet in the twilight
Her mind echoes their ridicules
Her heart is full of pain
She'd cry if she had any tears
But now she's all cried out
And feels the cold caress her
As she waits for night to come
To walk home in the darkness
Where things are less defined
With features more forgiving
In softened moonlight glow
She hums a song to cheer herself
And soon she's on her way
A lonely girl who hides herself
From light and bright of day
