ForestFire
Silly children
I watch as they tear themselves apart, slowly killing one another
part of me thinks to stop it
but where's the fun in that?
they must learn on there own that
when you play with fire
you can get burned
scorched
and scarred
Now now
lying broken on the floor
what have you done?
slowly dying I see
you're my friend
why do this to yourself
though you ignore the help you so desperatly need
Still we're by your side
selfish child
another heart broken
another life going up in the
flames
I told you to stay away from that lighter
you dropped it onto the ground
and set off a
forest fire
now we're all running
fighting against the flames
our flesh burning
tripping and falling
I look back to see you
lying in the midst of the
fire
you look up tears streaming down your face
you whisper help me
I watch as the fire creeps ever closer
the heat almost unbearable
they run to your side like I knew they would
should I come too?
die in the midst of this
all for a friend?
Ignoring it all I turn and
run
run from the fire that threatens to
devour anything in its path
Ignoring your screams I run faster
away from the broken friendship that
was created all on one simple act
don't just blame me for this
we all knew that if you played with
fire
you'd get burned
I just turned tail and ran before it happened
I watch as they tear themselves apart, slowly killing one another
part of me thinks to stop it
but where's the fun in that?
they must learn on there own that
