Ode to 'NaPoGloProWriMo

 


What I'll write from now 'til May
I hope will be myself
for I have grown far much too weary
to remain upon this shelf

it's my plan to use this time.
to clear out some debris
in hopes that ridding most of it
will help to set me free

Objective 1

I sit in wonder of these poems
composed by those who can
create such beauty with their ink
while mine all seem so bland

it's jealousy and envy
those cur-sed human traits
ones I know if left unchecked
will bring a wret-ched fate

chase these demons from my thoughts
by taking pen in hand
release this misery welcomed not
to dwell within my land
