Meanwhile, At The Club

The insidious bass
slithers like a snake
rapid splashes
of blues and reds
laser the club
bold spotlights appear
and on platforms
the twerks and jerks
of fine, fit bodies
and their shapes conform
to the restrictive fabrics
- mostly minimal
that leave those certain spots
unraveled (for now)

the rhythmically challenged
attempt to ride such rhythms
longing to be featured
in that noble effort
to draw their own spectators
and be circled by the throb
in a side attraction

But I got my eye on the feature
damn, that girl can shake.
