HEARTBREAK
Why does LOVE sometimes sit on our chest and lacerate the heart?
The salt drips in her eyes
The bleach burning fires
Her eyes dry as an Arizona sun
Laced with scars causing her blindness
The moon is the lighted path at night
Over a funeral piece
A tombstone may it be
She hides all the words that hang on the hinges of her
Heart, soul, mind, and off the cliffs of her mouth
The night is her veil she hides behind, with whiskey in hand
Her mind is a clouded sky
She drips into the earth's soil
Her weeping spirit
The salt drips in her eyes
The bleach burning fires
Her eyes dry as an Arizona sun
Laced with scars causing her blindness
The moon is the lighted path at night
Over a funeral piece
A tombstone may it be
She hides all the words that hang on the hinges of her
Heart, soul, mind, and off the cliffs of her mouth
The night is her veil she hides behind, with whiskey in hand
Her mind is a clouded sky
She drips into the earth's soil
Her weeping spirit
