Daughter of the Earth
Beautiful Mother's song
You call me
Past the Moon, past the Stream
Down to the cave.
You wait by the doorway
Singing in wonderous tones.
As the bird in song,
Just like the candle flame,
Flickers by the window.
On and on and down into the deep
Earth is cold but warm with You.
There are many here but You are One.
I go. I follow.
Talk to me of pain. Dark despair.
Ancient rhythms and feeling in song,
No words.
I am so young,
I will feel all, in time
To come.
My Mothers of Old
Pale blue and cold with the ages.
You will never leave.
You guard secrets in the stones.
I am your daughter.
I answer your call.
You call me
Past the Moon, past the Stream
Down to the cave.
You wait by the doorway
Singing in wonderous tones.
As the bird in song,
Just like the candle flame,
Flickers by the window.
On and on and down into the deep
Earth is cold but warm with You.
There are many here but You are One.
I go. I follow.
Talk to me of pain. Dark despair.
Ancient rhythms and feeling in song,
No words.
I am so young,
I will feel all, in time
To come.
My Mothers of Old
Pale blue and cold with the ages.
You will never leave.
You guard secrets in the stones.
I am your daughter.
I answer your call.
