Shadows
Ride with me my lady, entire,
to the shadows up by the moon,
where beyond, in the rafters of the ages
the stars and the Angels look upon,
and with jealousy are consumed,
crickets chime, fragrance, breeze,
beside a lonesome Sycamore tree
our shadows cast, mingling.
The summer half moon blushes,
the stars and the Angels look upon . . .
smiling and winking now, entwined too !
written, within our effervescing love song.
to the shadows up by the moon,
where beyond, in the rafters of the ages
the stars and the Angels look upon,
and with jealousy are consumed,
crickets chime, fragrance, breeze,
beside a lonesome Sycamore tree
our shadows cast, mingling.
The summer half moon blushes,
the stars and the Angels look upon . . .
smiling and winking now, entwined too !
written, within our effervescing love song.
