I recall that night

I recall that night.
I named it the sufferer’s revenge.
It was too intense to be called a confrontation, yet too passive to be a fight.
I still hear your words.
The names you spoke of, you hated.
And of course the devil I allegedly became.
I was so preoccupied with your pain, I couldn’t be mad.
One trait that helped me change for the better was realizing you’re full of shit.
You tell all these lies while making these exaggerations up in your head with no way of proving it.
You just sit and sulk.
The fact that you bad mouthed me to ones I’m closest with is simply repulsive.
But you can’t help it; you poor, poor victim.
Everyone’s out to get you.
And it all justifies how you skew the truth.
You’re not a dirty liar.
You just have a past that sets your sense on fire.
You wanted to kill me with my own sword.
Well I hope I got what I deserved.
I’m sure you got your revenge because I hit oh so hard to the floor.
I hope you’re smiling.
I hope you’re laughing.
I hope everyone is telling you how you’re just dashing.
You’ll tell the next betrayer they went lower than me.
One day you’ll have one thing to rely on to take the bullet for you; your insecurities.
I hope you get out of this simple minded maze; it only leads you to where you started.
I shouldn’t say anymore; I just sound so cold hearted.
I’ve become so self-centered; I haven’t put in any time or effort into being your slave.
Your pity maid, who cleans up your mess and puts on the fool’s dress.
No, instead I had the nerve to move on.
You can call me selfish.
You can say I lack a heart.
Or you can say that I just simply don’t comprehend.
I guess this the end.
There’s no chance I’ll ever earn my trust back.
Well, you’re not so innocent.
Call me every name in the book.
You can use that brainwash hook.
I’ll keep in mind you’re hiding from who you are; the person you most likely fear the most.
Until time heals and you no longer shit on anyone’s dignity, don’t even think of coming close.
