Eleven (written for remembrance day)
The 11th hour
the 11th day
the 11th month
remembrance day:
put your guns
to the ground
hear the cheering
and look around
there's no more pain
no more lives are taken
open your heart
and peace shall awaken
to end all wars
we thank the brave men
who went out to fight
so we can be free again
families can be reunited
or are resting in heaven
we'll never forget
the number eleven
wear your poppy
as it's respect that you pay
we'll never forget
remembrance day
