Argument Aftermath

With feigned indifference
I tried to arrest your heart.
But my sensitive eyes
and gentle tone of voice
gave me away.

The warmth of your embrace
gave way to tears,
and the love on your face
erased most of my fears.

To err is mortal,
And love is not without
pains along the way.
Out of the portal
of love, comes much
apologies and forgiveness.

These 2 facets
of love
eases the hurts
along the way.

So.............
how can I continue to
be angry ---- when I love
you so?

And when our tears
continue to mingle
as we stand
in one another's arms?

I cannot,
And I look forward to tonite.
