I gave away tickets to a Rolling Stones concert...
I have ever since wondered whether or not
I would do the same thing all over again. Ely

Ouch ...
Never seen the Stones live - but I did see Pink Floyd on their "Dark Side of the Moon" tour - needless to say "far out, man" ...

Re: Re. Ticket
During my time in San Francisco in the 60's, it would be a shorter list to count the bands I did not see...
I went to at least one concert or major event a week
and was never asked to pay...
my name was on every major 'guest' list there was...
boredom was never an issue
...and since I always showed up, 'dressed to the nines'...
local color being worth it's weight in gold...so
If I wanted to bring a friend,
they would look the other way...
Life was good...
back in the day, as they say. Ely

1960s 'Frisco - that's Ph.D material nowadays in history/culture. A unique place & era to have experienced. Nice.

Not the end-of-the-world for me ...
I saw Brian Jones at Monterey Pop Fest in 1967...
and Sunday night The Who smashed a guitar...
but to top them, Jimi burned his git-fiddle... on stage for all to see... that was a first...our chins were on the floor...
Then Janis came back on Sunday night too and with BBHC sang two more...
it was Perfect... Ely
