shed light
On what seems to be a
modern plight
Our human family bought
and sold
Within a network in
currency cold
The buyer, corrupt, vile
and sadistic
His purpose base and nihilistic
Basic rights just thrown away
In the name of Ego’s power play
Poor Joseph, his brother
sold him out
Cast out, abused, beyond
all doubt
Sold into slavery, a most
ancient depravity
Yet trafficking is click-bait today.
