Play The Cithara For Me

Play the cithara for me
My gentle heartstrings are getting frail and weak
Grand melodies once laid at Cupid’s feet
Undying arrow broken
Hush sounds spoken

United souls disengaged
Hearts under fire destination rearranged

A mourning veil of lover’s reminisce
In the refection of moonlight, buries its eternal bliss
Absence of its worshipped tender kiss
Warmth of the Sun solar eclipsed
Navigating through a torrid mist

The winds have carried the cadence of an echoing heartbeat away
On my knees to rekindle as I pray

Curtained love has gone
The galaxy plays a sobering song
Echoes have soared among the stars
Have kissed Venus’ lips embraced by Mars

Can the Heavens hear my cries
Fate, Karma, and Destiny, on God’s watchful time
Is my name still written in the book of lovers wished well
Torn pages, blurred name, stars will never tell
Raindrops crying in bewonder
No trumpet, no horns, only the sound of earth’s thunder

Align the planets to fulfill my hearkening needs
Play the beautiful Cithara for me
