PB&J
He grips the lid
with his tender yet firm hand
bicep bulging
as he applies pressure
a barely perceptible grunt
escapes his lips
as the jar opens
releasing a heady aroma
of succulent peanuts
Playfully he plunges a finger
in to break the surface
it seems to be sucked deeper
pulling out the now
coated appendage
savoring the taste
as he licks it clean
with his knife
he covers every inch
of the bread’s surface
with the smooth spread
not bothering first
to clean his tool
similarly he applies
strawberry jam
to another slice
the sweet, sticky juices
saturate every wheaty pore
She steals away his utensil
and seductively
licks his glistening
blade clean
moaning as she enjoys
every sweet and salty
creamy tongue full
they hungrily kiss
the final step in their
lunchtime ritual
