Before The Trial

Trayvon Benjamin Martin forever seventeen, What he would have become will never be seen.
He was walking home in the rain one dark night , Minding his own business when he saw a bright light. It was headlights from a car following near, A stranger gets out Trayvon runs in fear.
He was chased down then confronted what did we expect him to do, He fought for his life like kids are taught to do. But this strange man had hate in his heart, He wasn't letting Trayvon go right from the start.
Murdered that night because the stranger had a gun, His Parents worse nightmare Trayvon life was done. The men in blue that were sworn to serve and protect , Didn't want the truth even labeled Trayvon the suspect. They let the killer go that boy laid in the morgue for three whole days, This situation is so fucked up let me count the ways. The parents told to go home that it was their own kid fault, A killer set free so we thought.
The movement was started once the word got out, That a Unarmed Black Teen was killed without a doubt.
The jury has the case now and they will have to do what they do, But no matter the outcome Martin Family we're with you.

Author's Note
This was my feelings right when the jury got the case. I wanted to tell his story and say his name without mentioning the killers.
