Great thought-provoking poem! As a species, we're generally afraid of the unknown, but I like your last statement. It gives hope and a sense of the drive that humanity has had to go out of their comfort zone to explore the new world and permanently settle there. Now we're thinking of exploring other planets.

The very easy reference that comes to mind with this write is FDR's quote. Also think of Louis Brandeis, who suggested that fear of that we know nothing about is "irrational".

Fear is something i long for all sentient beings to release.
It is within human beings that Fear stays and sticks like tar.
