Warthog

Why do I cry when I take another's life?

I'm a beast of the village I pillage.
But I still feel the sadness and sorrow.
My eye's water up with emotion.
The thought of those who I have slain.
He said he could remove all of my troubles.
That comes down to a part of my brain.
I only had to play this game he presented.
I would have to kill many to win.

Author's Note
Inspired from the character 'Warthog' from the PS2 game Twisted Metal: Black. Warthog doesn't have a problem killing anyone. This short "poem" is about Warthog's problem with his own emotions. After every person he kills, he can't help but feel remorse for his victim and is overcome by a deepened sadness. By winning the game - Warthog will get his wish granted, which consists of wanting the part of his brain that makes him sad.
