Waves of Longing

I hear them
Waves crashing
on the rocky shoreline

Sounds much like
Emotions you left
Within me

Pounding unceasingly
Making no headway

Tearing at the shoreline
Of my raggedy heart

Will the tide turn
Will love bring me peace

Your love was that for me

A sleepy cove
Tides of love
Gently lapping

Return me to that place
Ease my suffering ...
I beg you

waves can be mesmerizing....but all your feelings come from inside you...not outside...to reawaken lost love one must reawaken oneself...at least that's my point of view...
