In Deepest Want, How Hard We Strive

(quatern)
In deepest want, how hard we strive
To find the space where souls entwine.
In falters’ rise, again define,
To passions’ flare again revive.

How swift our rush to first engage,
In deepest want, how hard we strive.
But once prepared in loves’ contrive,
We seek to linger love’s enrage.

How well I fit in thoughts of you,
How well your seal, our pulse derive.
In deepest want, how hard we strive.
To find that point of rush’s imbue.

In finding there, when we arrive,
We stay our wills, to linger there.
That we might ever come aware,
In deepest want, how hard we strive.
