Cupid's Labyrinth

My story is different.

Trust me, it isn't like yours.

We didn't meet under the mango tree.

I was on the dust when she walked in,

at the crowning of my foolhardiness.

I thought I had a life.

"Your demons have gone rife" whispered my shepherdess.

She did cage them.

She caged them with a smile; a day.

You saved me!

Alas,

when many a lass has failed me.

So we won't need to sing 'hello' from the other side,

though I love her resonating notes and solo, jokes aside.

Hinting the strength of femaleness,

reminding me of your patience in my un-calmness.

For you my dearest,

I will cross-pollinate a rose and a 'forget me not'

I will name it cupid's labyrinth, for there I will bondage the demons of
the unsaved.

There I will un-maze your message, your bliss.

Lest I forget you said, "even the mighty cattle need an egret".

For with one-man crew, a ship can't set sail.
