a traveler's prayer

  
take me to the light  
I've lost my way  
my heart feels it's shining protection  
but shies away  

undress my soul  
so it may bathe in the healing waters  
fully relaxed  
laying down all my troubles  
soothed in the river of truth  

sleeping by the fire of wisdom  
that warms the mind  
giving it security  
 
let me sleep with the knowledge  
i'm well guarded  
my place in the celestial  
marked in the star's light  
 
the celestial my home  
before I first traveled here as human  
may I find my way back  
when i'm done
