Never to Convert

I was living on my own
With my wife and baby son
Living in peace not harming anymore
Till that one day when they came along

They burned down my home
And took away the land
Grabbed me up and told me
About some foreign god

They said to me that their god
Had told them from above
To do all of this destruction
And make me convert to his faith

I don't know what you've been told
Or what you've been taught in life
But I've never heard of
A god more violent than this

So I told them i would never
Turn myself into something so evil
so they went and killed my wife
And took away my son to their settlement

This killing and destruction
All for some religious faith
Is something I'll never understand
But I do know that they're in trouble

With her death and his theft
They'd just sealed their fates
I wasn't going to ever stop
Till every last one was slain

So I set out once they left
After leaving me for dead
From a brutal beating
Cause I would never change

They days and nights all alone
Were the roughest I had ever bared
With my wounds still bleeding strong
Weakening my beaten body

Once I finally came across
The place where my child was
I knew that they would be watching
So I hid for awhile to evade their eyes

I waited till the sun had set
And the moon rise to take it's place
Before I began to venture in
Underneath the cloak of night

Inside their largest building
That seemed to be a 'holy' place to them
I was shocked to discover
They were trying to drown my son

The first thing that I had seen
Was my only baby son
Being held under a tub of water
By a man dressed in all black

I ran towards the man in rage
Till others came and restrained me
And the man pulled out their holy book
And began to preach to me of a man named Christ

They told me again and again
To follow their ways of life and faith
I told them I will never change
And broke the restraints on me

With the knife I had made
From the rocks on the outside
I slit the throats of many
Then made a grab for my son

I had him almost outside the door
Almost to our freedom at last
But suddenly I heard this loud bang
And everything went black and red
