COME CLOSER..

 
 
 Come closer and give me your soul that I own,  
 Come show me the light in your eyes,
 Bring me your body, that time has outgrown,  
 Come meet your awaiting demise.

 Come closer and bring me the will you still hold,  
 This warming that hails from each breath,  
 Soon to be lost to a corpse long since cold,  
 Inviting the sweet stench of death.


Come closer and cry as you beg for release,  
A lifetime of dreams unfulfilled.
Your heartbeat adrift without purpose or point,  
A heartbeat so soon to be stilled.


Come closer and set forth this means to an end,  
No more from my clutches to flee,
Pleasure and pain are both one and the same,  
When at last, you surrender to me


Come closer and fear me for all that I am,  
Take heed as you tremble and cower,
Tonight be the evening when all things must pass,  
Come closer..  for now is the hour.
