Editor in Chief

of all things
He is

Strengthens
weakened wordsmithery

Straightens grammatical slips
as crooked crowns
for light to shatter
their misplaced dolor
into a billion shards
of written color

He doesn't tame strays
allows metaphors to escape
from a page's confines
honors nonconformed originality

Not-so-subtle Analogies
reach a meaningful
bearing of witness
between like-minded Spirits

He rain dances
through cracks of drought
with  indigenous faith
until inspiration sprouts

When clouds smear azure
and drowning lakelets rise
he navigates beyond blindness;
persistently carrying Us

Editor in Chief
He is:

Capt'n and co-author
of this fairytale:
pirate, first mate
magic plank to walk
across sharks of doubt

II

Wicked witch of the Kingdom
( because there's one
in every true love story )

watches, fans flames of jealous discord
oblivious to growing resentment
in her own garden
until seeds she's sowing
become a flame that burns
her forked tongue

Casting a spell of division
to reclaim what she abandoned
ignorant of the fact
it doesn't belong to anyone

Everybody watches
to see how it will end--
who will win

But, We've learned
neither exists through experience;
it's all relative beginnings

Editor in Chief
He is

To an everlasting story:
Romeo and Juliet
Paris and Helen
Orpheus and Eurydice
Shah and Mumtaz

It's not good versus evil to Us:

it(')s Love preserved
monumental as Sol--
it(')s light upon the Taj Mahal

~
