Write Me a Story

 walked into that day,
Seeing that man typing anxiously.
He stopped for a minute,
Looked at me,
“ You look like you need something from me.”
I asked what he was writing, he responded with, “ My heart, my dreams… her.”
Then I said,
“Can you write me a story?
Push the ink into a new masterpiece.
With every stroke, bring my dream to me.
Write the story I’ve always wanted...
Make her there, dressed in white, my angel sent in the night.
Have her say “I do” then sneak away through a veil of light.
Just… write me a story”
He looked at me, then glanced at a picture of black and white,
Took a pen and started writing.
Midway through, he looked again,
“How do you want this to end?
“Just have her by my side, nothing more… nothing less.... Can you write me a story?
Push the ink into a new masterpiece.
With every stroke, bring my dream to me.
Write me the story I’ve always wanted,
My angel sent in the night.
Have her say “I do” then sneak away through a veil of light.
Just… Write me a story.”
