So cold is the night

You’ve left me to carry
you’ve left me to hold
you’ve left me feeling lonely
and far, far to old

So still are the waters
so cold is the night
and the blankets that warms us
now suffocates me inside

life is a journey
life is a gift
and I cannot just lay here
waiting for the tide to shift

my ships at the harbour
the sails are blowing free
there’s my journey out there
and I do wish you join me

But I  know it won’t happen
my wish won’t come true
as you’ve never loved me
as much as I loved you

I’m sorry for my love alone, is not enough
my needs are never met
I feel like a flower without the sun
Constantly getting wet

So hard have I’ve worked
to many tears I’ve cried
and now I feel like I’m drowning
drowning inside

But no longer shall I drown
in the pit of my own sorrow
as I can see the sun in the horizon
and its bringing a new tomorrow
