As he sleeps

He falls asleep next to her
sated from their passion.
His face so beautiful  
She can’t take her eyes from him.  
With a sigh she smiles  
A happiness fills every part of her,  
satisfying her  
as he did a short while before.
She reaches out and  
gently touches his face
remembering his kisses.
Time so precious  
she savours every moment.
Two of a kind.  
Kindred spirits.  
Lovers and friends.
As she watches him sleep.
She wonders how is it possible  
to love another so much ?
As his arms wrap round her  
she knows he loves her too.
