God Must be a Woman
I sometimes ruminate
About the absurdity of life
And envision us all as tiny ants
Days filled with unnecessary strife
But what does our creator
See when she looks down
From the celestial viewpoint
Down upon the ground
God must be a woman
She created spirit
And only females on this earth
Can recreate and inherit
This brilliant capacity
To give life
To an otherwise void universe
And perhaps an afterlife
The sulphuric pools of neo yellow and green
Off the coast of Ethiopia
It’s always a sunny day
In the outback of Australia
The Amazon jungle that is 10 times the size of Texas
The red dust storms seen from space
How do the oceans look from heaven
Have you seen a butterfly’s miniature face
And then I stop and realize
That this is not just for the Creator
The beauty may just be energized
She, the ultimate Connoisseur
Has created the perfect art piece
Here for all to see
Do you see the mosaic beauty
The ultimate mystery
About the absurdity of life
And envision us all as tiny ants
Days filled with unnecessary strife
But what does our creator
See when she looks down
From the celestial viewpoint
Down upon the ground
God must be a woman
She created spirit
And only females on this earth
Can recreate and inherit
This brilliant capacity
To give life
To an otherwise void universe
And perhaps an afterlife
The sulphuric pools of neo yellow and green
Off the coast of Ethiopia
