The Strength
Recovery Was Not Always Direct
Sometimes It Was Covering Things Back Up ,
So You Didn't Have To Feel The Pain ,
The Gut Wrenching , Heart Ripping Hurt ,
That A Thousand Good Dreams ,
Could Not Erase ;
Sometimes It Was Roses And Sometimes It Was Thorns ,
And Sometimes It Was Barbed Wire And Venus Fly Traps ,
And Underbrush And Rabbit Holes Leading Into Some
Underground Memories You Did Not Want To Name
And Did Not Dare To Out Of The Fear It Would
Happen All Over Again Like Some Nightmare
Reiterated Anticipated Participated
In By Some Inner Demons
And Devils Dance
And Yet There Was This Haunting Thing
Clawing At Her Consciousness
This Strength That Would
Not Let Her Go
This Feeling That She Still Had The Will To Survive
She Had A Need To Persist It Was Like A Kiss
From Some Demented Angel Who Still
Loved Her And Would Not Leave
And Those Hands Touched
Her Soul Over And Over
And Made Her Cry
Again
She Cried Because She Needed That Love So Desperately
She Cried Because It Was Love Given Without Asking
She Cried Because It Told Her She Was Worth It
And When She Finished Crying When The
Last Tear Dripped Down Her Face
She Picked Up That Strength
And Took All That Love
And She Moved On
Into Her New
