Void....in my opinion the worst of feelings/punishments at least when you're getting flogged/cut/lashed there is some feeling albeit unpleasant.

Brilliant poem Fusion. Sometimes it's all that's needed; all that needs to be said. Love the white space around the words too. Exquisitely crafted. It's a thinker's poem this one. Where its length lies -

well... in all honesty Teri
I must Thank You! for the help in edit!!
and regarding the words, feelings
it is based on true experience
how it felt
or in other words
how the lack of any feeling felt
it was a horrible experience
the void
in the place of a place in human body
where all feelings/emotions reside and emanate from
prequel to this poem
is an unpublished work
and if at all it'll be published it'll be
heavily redacted.

and on a different note, i have come across a poem that beats this ink hands down, a one word poem that had it's affect such profound that i felt my heart squeezed and eyes automatically bleary. Hope my dear Friend she publishes it and soon. And yes, such profundity IS possible, you'll know it when you'll seee it.

In all honesty, I never looked at the void the beautiful way and perspective you've just described it in. In fact as said to our dear Friend Teri above, I had an experience with it, and trust me, i never felt so scared in my life.
Had my brushes with death, but may be we are resigned to the fact of it, never felt scared, though others reacted with disdain at my reaction, or lack of it.
The space around- the credit my Friend goes to our wonderful peer Teri! for it.
