Verse Control to Major Tonal
the words and text
are ready to go
all checked for syntax
no longer vexed
and may
the Thesaurus favour you
as you blast off into
the great blank verse
we are near one hundred hours through
into the flight of Verbatim,
Can you tell us what you see?
Are we coming clearly through?
Major Tonal to Verse Control
I can see all of Gilgamesh below
as the epic turns slowly
I can no longer see Cape Acrostic
but the United States of Onomatopoeia
is sliding by right now
and somewhere down below
is the Anagram Coast,
Tell me is it raining in Sonnetville?
What is the weather like down there?

We are all rooting down here
as you circle
round the world
who are all ready to hear
how it all looks now
that peace is in town
after The Composition War
and the Weapons of Mass Iambic Pentameter
of the vile noun
Are our words getting to you?
Can you see Prefixland?
Major Tonal to Verse Control
your words are coming clear,
and I can see all the verbs
as they pass by my window
East Haiku is going past my view
followed by the great blue vocabulary
all the poetry is a sight to behold
and soon I will touchdown home
and write face to face

Author's Note
Entry for day 6 of the NaPo competition based on the prompt of "Poems : Write about a planet of poems consisting of individual colonies: Sonnetville, Cape Acrostic, Villanelle Village, etc., and how they eventually found peace after almost destroying each with weapons such as WMIP's ( Weapons of Mass Iambic Pentameter )." Loosely based off of mind you: Major Tonal in the spaceship Verbatim is the first person to orbit round the world of 'Gilgamesh'.
