Jackals

Green flames and dark times.
She blames the dark ice.
Sea screams and light climbs.
She pleads for her life.

Lasting friendship never fails.
Midnight trains do not derail.
I am ignoring catcalls.
From the imploring jackals.

In the night, what creeps by?
Lovers do, lovers lie.
Tell the truth for your life.
Maybe you'll keep your wife.

Lasting friendship never fails.
Midnight trains do not derail.
I am ignoring catcalls.
From the imploring jackals.

The pyramid rises on the horizon.
Worn gold brick displayed so delicately.
The scarabs screech their angry call.
Cause they're the ones we're eradicating.

A dark shadow crosses the desert.
The sun sits high in the air.
Ra prays his children don't get hurt.
Anubis' jackals are rising there.

In the land of the Nile.
West of the Jordan.
Now the land's been defiled.
Jackals are hoarding.
