NATURAL LIDOCAINE
Heartache and heart break creates natural lidocaine
Numbing your core from the floor up to life's many pains
As anger fills your spirit with rage from all of your disdain
Your brain just desires some sunshine over the forecasted rain
Spring brings April showers that leads to the growth of nature
The storms we endure should make us grow stronger and mature
For this journey isn't easy and was never promised to be at all
Without trials and tribulations wouldn't this experience be a bore
Never ignore the hypocritical contradictions placed in your path
Make analytical calculations of the science and the math
To hurdle or break through the roadblocks that you have
Practice makes perfect so master the craft of woman and man
Take a stand for everything that you're passionate about
Become unapologetic regardless of who decides to pout
Speak your truth to people and plan out your own route
Don't blindly follow hook, line and sinker like a captured trout

with the storms and rain come eventual turning into spring... we can only hope that our storms pass so we can bloom!

I really like this piece, especially the beginning and ending lines. A great piece overall!!

Thank you. I attempt to have the opening stanza be an attention grabber and the final stanza leaving the reader walking away still thinking about what I wrote.
