flowers and bees
I am a creature of the dark
Though I do not bite and bark,
Just observing from the shadows
All the flowers in the meadows,
In particular I see one
Standing out reaching the sun,
Stem so green with petals white
All around are bees inflight,
Oh that pollen must taste sweet
If those bees for it compete,
Wish I was one of those bees
So that nectar I would squeeze.
Though I do not bite and bark,
Just observing from the shadows
All the flowers in the meadows,
In particular I see one
Standing out reaching the sun,
Stem so green with petals white
All around are bees inflight,
Oh that pollen must taste sweet
If those bees for it compete,
Wish I was one of those bees
So that nectar I would squeeze.
