Image for the poem Tough Bitch

Tough Bitch

I’m off on a pilgrimage to explore the world
To get a better picture of my image and see I’m more than just a girl
You may see me struggle, but you will never see me quit.
I can handle what life throws at me; I’m a tough bitch.

My soft exterior is protected by my thick hide
I often let crude comments just slide
Cruel words are spoken, but I don’t give a shit
After all, I’m a tough bitch.

People either love me or hate me
My presence is noticeable, while others fly away with the breeze
Their nagging bothers me as much as a mosquito bite itch
I’ll give them a reason to hate me; I’m a tough bitch.

I’m looking out at infinity
There’s an abundance of possibilities
I rise from the depths of the abyss
Careful now, don’t piss off the tough bitch.

If you piss me off enough, I’ll react
And challenge your stupidity with cold-hard facts
You act as if you’re better than me, but the truth is
I’m too much for you too handle; I’m a tough bitch.
