Pain

Know pain
Feel pain
And I don�t mean physical pain
I mean that emotional pain
That causes mental agony
You know that emotional pain
That makes it hard for the mind to fathom things
That very same emotional pain
That makes it difficult to overcome the mind games
That very same pain
That drives one almost insane
Yes I know pain
Yes I felt pain

Pain is darker than any shade
Cuts a lot deeper than any blade
Becomes harder to fade
What I wouldn�t give for an even trade

I never gave in or fell under
When pain had a way of making me stronger
Overcoming pain took a bit longer
But in the end it made me a warrior

Not many know how pain feels
Or what real pain truly is
So many end their lives by overdosing from pain pills
Instead of letting time give them the ability to heal
Now souls are constantly on their heels
Making the scabs harder to peel

Know pain
Feel pain

Have you felt the pain of rejection?
The horrible feeling of being rejected
By the woman you had a thing for
But ended up being neglected
And overlooked for a man
Who was imperfect for her spiritual protection?
Yes I felt this
And felt upset and helpless
But I had to accept it
But I never respected it
But in the end
He left her helpless
The pain from grief
Would always make me weep
In my sleep sometimes
But I deal with the pain
And reminisce at the time
When things were fun at the time

Know pain
Feel pain
Comprehend pain
Overcome pain
