...DoNt ThiNk Of mE...
Cower in your corner. Because you’re a coward in your corner. & don’t think of me. I’m so far away. No longer a blurred memory of a pretty face. Let me be that distant memory. Let me fade. Allow me to leave like you’re not embedded in my mind. Your fingers still entwined...around my soul. Just let it go. It’s not hard to let it go.
I was nothing anyways. You were nothing anyways. I don’t want this forever, stuck in my prison just like you. Because in the end, I’m just like you.
Filling the void with my delusional reality. Do you lie to make it better? Is that why I lie to make it better? Who am I kidding? Giving myself a day to die, while they look to me with loving eyes. “No, I can’t do that...it’s okay. It’s gonna be okay. Another time.”
I’ll go on like this and you’ll go on like this. And lie to yourself. I might be just like you. Forever cold and empty just like you. So cower in your corner. Because you’re a coward in your corner. And I know. It’s never your fault. But don’t think of me.
