Frozen Chaos

She stands on the bank of a small pond
Pondering
Wondering
The sky is dark, thick boiling clouds block the midday sun
The wind howls
Thunder rumbles across the land
A flash lightens the world with an ear shattering
BOOM
But the pond is still
Her dress does not flutter
The trees do not shake
A frozen moment of peace in a world of chaos
She is a marble statue
In a garden of brittle glass
