I Walked Into an Ants’ Nest
I walked into an ants’ nest
Hell it was mightily huge
Shocked and scared I peed myself
A most ungodly deluge
There were legs and eggs everywhere
Bits twitching this way and that
Hard black beings, with interest
In chewing some kind of fat
They stared straight and focused
While I scanned moist-eyed for them
As sinister shadows slowly emerged
From darkness within their great den
And perceiving no fear of me
It was clear the mess I was in
My cowardly brain and body
Knew not where to end or begin
A sunken sea of antennae
Waved over and over again
My dry-reaching suddenly concluded
Pointing out that my now was at end
Hell it was mightily huge
Shocked and scared I peed myself
A most ungodly deluge
There were legs and eggs everywhere
Bits twitching this way and that
Hard black beings, with interest
In chewing some kind of fat
They stared straight and focused
While I scanned moist-eyed for them
As sinister shadows slowly emerged
From darkness within their great den
And perceiving no fear of me
It was clear the mess I was in
My cowardly brain and body
Knew not where to end or begin
A sunken sea of antennae
Waved over and over again
My dry-reaching suddenly concluded
Pointing out that my now was at end
