You forgot
Hey, you forgot about me. You said that you needed me, couldn't live life without me... And then you forgot about me.
I miss your mechanical pencils scrawling feelings onto my lightly lined pages, and I miss your thoughtful eyes reading me, crossing out, rewriting, and reading again. I miss being filled up with your words and imperfections.
I miss the tight hug of your backpack or purse. I traveled wherever you went, staying by your side, always available for spontaneous inspirations.
I miss looking forward to being opened each day, and taking in your secrets. I never gave them away. I took in your good days and bad days, your deepest wonderings, and darkest confessions.
No matter what, you used to always come back to me.
But you forgot about me.
Will you ever come back?
