My opinion, subject to everyone's "sniff test", then taken for whatever value they assign it.

One of the single most difficult things to do in life. Enough is never enough. I think more than most US culture breeds this kind of discontentment, Thank you for the ponder. Brava!

Agreed, and it is incumbent on the people within the culture to change their view on what constitutes success. But, like you so aptly expressed, "hard to do", yet still possible when one adjusts their value system.
Thanks, Bob, always glad for your input.

Though not yet there, I believe I'm getting close to accepting who I am,
regardless of how others may view me. Perhaps a few more rough edges to be smoothed.
Truly appreciate your words, Dani.

Re: Re. Success
That you received encouragement from my work, graces me, for it has accomplished its intended purpose.
I deeply feel that true success does not lie in the position one achieves in life, in riches nor fame. It is in the conviction that you are happy with what you have been gifted, content with your station, and at peace with yourself, and one needs to look no further than the news each day, to realize anything less is mere folly, fooling oneself into accepting what others perceive as success.
Thank you for taking time to inform me of it,
