Endless Flame

 The fire inside  
Flares up at times,
Scorching my heart,
Searing my soul.
At this moment,
I feel the heat  
Spread from my chest  
into my groin.
I want you now.
The fire burns hot,
Only your touch
Now can quench it.
Only your kiss
Can sate my thirst.
Time and distance
Keep us apart
And I must wait.
The fire will, must,
Subside slowly,
Until it remains
An ember that waits
Only for you  
to rekindle  
Its endless flame.
