Birds of the After Rain
The chirping from birds of the after rain
Brought me to joy as they sang
The song they sang was such a sweet song
Such golden tones both short and long
An arc of rain and bow was above
It complimented their song of love
A heavenly spectrum that reflected aftermath
On the pigeons' shimmery and puddled footpath
They splashed and sung with endless bliss
Dancing in unison with a hop and a twist
They Chirped and shrieked their splendid notes
As they flapped their feathery little coats
What a beautiful day to have been alive
It would've been tragic to miss their jive
The birds uplifted my weary and weathered soul
Giving me anticipation for other joys to behold
Brought me to joy as they sang
The song they sang was such a sweet song
Such golden tones both short and long
An arc of rain and bow was above
It complimented their song of love
A heavenly spectrum that reflected aftermath
On the pigeons' shimmery and puddled footpath
They splashed and sung with endless bliss
Dancing in unison with a hop and a twist
They Chirped and shrieked their splendid notes
As they flapped their feathery little coats
What a beautiful day to have been alive
It would've been tragic to miss their jive
The birds uplifted my weary and weathered soul
Giving me anticipation for other joys to behold
