All The Time In The World.
These fragrant flowers gathered
And offered in your memory
But meagre tokens of emotion
As grief steals life's very breath
My heart weighs heavy in this chest
Once you blossomed like the reddest rose
Resplendent in the summer Sun
A balmy breeze teased back silken hair
While we walked together without a care
Hand in hand across swaying fields of gold
But once fine flowers simply wither and die
Moulder, crumble and decay, to once again
Rejoin the Earth from whence they came
Earth to Earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust
All cast asunder by the fickle winds of fate
These many years brought only pain
And many moons have waxed and waned
Since I held you in a soft embrace
Felt your sweet breath upon my face
Now I languish, lost in eternal night
As I sit upon the freezing stone
Cold as my heart, now I'm all alone
Bleeding and broken feel so bereft
These chiselled words are all I've left
While you have all the time in the world
