Stares and Silence
When I'm laid to rest beneath the sky
Will there be tears and bloody roses
Or cheers and a heavy silence
When I'm laid into to my grave
I'm falling beneath the weight of this
I've held tight my deepest regrets
The rope is burning more than the liquor
The blade cuts into the deepest parts of me
This house is burning and I can no longer breathe
I'll fall asleep and sigh so content
I've been so hurt by the stares and silence
I'll bury myself beneath the oak and flesh
If I come across as confused or misunderstood
If my family holds me up and wishes me well
I'll take my note to my shallow grave
I'm a broken soul who needs peace and silence
Will there be tears and bloody roses
Or cheers and a heavy silence
When I'm laid into to my grave
I'm falling beneath the weight of this
I've held tight my deepest regrets
The rope is burning more than the liquor
The blade cuts into the deepest parts of me
This house is burning and I can no longer breathe
I'll fall asleep and sigh so content
I've been so hurt by the stares and silence
I'll bury myself beneath the oak and flesh
If I come across as confused or misunderstood
If my family holds me up and wishes me well
I'll take my note to my shallow grave
I'm a broken soul who needs peace and silence
