Strings still bare,
My heart throbs,
A pulse,
A melancholy flutter,
You,
Something about you,
I can let go of,
You,
Passing presence,
Coming in contact,
And brushing it away,
You see,
Every so often when I stare,
I look away,
Hope you know nothing,
You,
I promised I’d be there,
And you,
I parted,
Aching guilt,
Throbbing regret,
Painful eyes and sorrow filled mind,
You,
Something about you,
I can’t let go of,
But you,
I parted,
All this time,
Strings still bear.
