Heroes

Heroes
Heroes are the landless poor
Those who sleep under the plain sky
Finding solace in the pure
Those whose vision of the future
Is blurred in the slow of reality

Heroes are the workers
The lower class nonentities
Armed with nothing to do anything
Then paid peanuts for thanks
Heroes are not the brave dead
Nor the military men in the tanks
Heroes are those who live and struggle
Day by day to make ends meet

Heroes are not found in those buried at national shrines
But in those whose remains rot in shallow graves
Their names shall never be etched in stone
Amourless mothers and unarmed fathers
Whose dreams became ashes of transition

Heroes are not found in pretentious philanthropists
Heroes are found in single mothers
That struggles to raise their kids
Despite the absent fathers

Heroes are not the loud-mouthed,
Or the know it all politicians
But those whose voices are never heard
Heroes are not the brave dead
But those that struggle to survive
Living with frustrated ideals
Those that never complain,
Content with the little they get….Heroes
