Sinking
He had cement feet
He was prone to sink
And
As they threw him
From the boat
They claimed they thought
He'd float
...
The water rested
Still and cold
Transparent
As wolves
That stood dry
In sheep's clothes
...
With gnarled teeth
Suits spoke
Determining submergence
A condition
Of pre-existence
Perhaps the waves
Will sway their thinking
As the swells rise up
And
Their boat starts sinking
...
Perception is always clearer
Under the surface
And
When it's YOUR breath
Being held ransom
...
How much does air cost again?
He was prone to sink
And
As they threw him
From the boat
They claimed they thought
He'd float
...
The water rested
Still and cold
Transparent
As wolves
That stood dry
In sheep's clothes
...
With gnarled teeth
Suits spoke
Determining submergence
A condition
Of pre-existence
Perhaps the waves
Will sway their thinking
As the swells rise up
And
Their boat starts sinking
...
Perception is always clearer
Under the surface
And
When it's YOUR breath
Being held ransom
...
How much does air cost again?
