Death births Life (inspired by a poem i just read)
i look back and see
your hunched silhouette
barely visible
through this lucent screen
it gently pulls us away,
two statuettes
under this moon's mesmerizing gleam
i smile, and feel its ripple touch you
while life draws you back
into its routine
you have finished ahead this time
in a race
where he who wins is lost
your prize bequeathed to you,
six feet under
we celebrate your passing
between silent sobs
loss is but an arbitrary word
i still exist
in another form
our memories now, a fading past
new buds have grown
above my buried remains
new life erupts
to balnce my death
the stars and the moon,
stand witness to
this distingué cycle
till the time comes one day
for them to relinquish
their navigatory powers
your hunched silhouette
barely visible
through this lucent screen
it gently pulls us away,
two statuettes
under this moon's mesmerizing gleam
i smile, and feel its ripple touch you
while life draws you back
into its routine
you have finished ahead this time
in a race
where he who wins is lost
your prize bequeathed to you,
six feet under
we celebrate your passing
between silent sobs
loss is but an arbitrary word
i still exist
in another form
our memories now, a fading past
new buds have grown
above my buried remains
new life erupts
to balnce my death
the stars and the moon,
stand witness to
this distingué cycle
till the time comes one day
for them to relinquish
their navigatory powers
