Something

Something so beautiful happened today
That needs to be written while fresh in my mind.
Never before have I felt such a warmth
From a person so tender, so caring and kind.

The touch of his hand resting there  on my shoulder,
A moment of closeness I’ll never forget.
Unspoken connections filled the whole room,
The fact that he left is my only regret.

So easy and natural we are with each other,
A stroke of my neck, a brush of my side,
A kiss as we part and a feeling of sadness,
Elation I’m feeling but having to hide.
